Anybody see the opening to PD: Extend yet?

Apparently, Sega added voices.
And I think instead of manually doing the voices in Vocaloid, they actually got the voice actors who originally offered the voices for them to do it. I don't really mind, it just astounds me that Miku, Rin and Luka don't really sound like their Vocaloid selves. Actually, Len is the only one who I could identify with no problem. Whatever Asami Shimoda did with Len, she didn't do with Rin. Even when she sings Rin songs in her Rin voice, it sounds off. It almost sounds like she's trying too hard, but that can't be it because that's the voice she recorded Rin in to begin with, so it must've just been something that happened in post. Miku doesn't sound terrible, but she just doesn't sound like herself. Luka too, but I think Yu Asakawa almost got her voice.
...Man, I feel really mean. I'm critiquing the original voices for the Vocaloids. >_>

Am I the only one who feels like this? Anybody agree with me?

Hey Guys Guess What

I have gotten a message or two about people wanting to see my videos again. But I'm still not relatively close to getting my ShawSpace to work.
So, because I care about your concerns, I'm making a temporary website a la Webs.com and putting all my videos on there for your enjoyment.
As I write this, I'm working on uploading all the Vocaloid covers, my own covers, and animations and other misc stuff to Photobucket and hooking them up to the site. So far, the only one that refuses to work is Len singing Golden Time Lovers because even PHOTOBUCKET is telling me that it's copywrited.
Anywho, hopefully, most of the videos will be up by the end of today. If I missed a video you liked, send me a message via Blogger, dA or on the Webs site if it works. I'll see if I can get it to work.

I'll also be posting my new stuff onto that site until I'm all set, so my old videos will be labelled in "archives" and have this cute little picture of MikuBear on the thumbnail.

Not sure what I'll do for new videos but I'll get to that when it comes.

Anyhow, since it's only temporary, I haven't customized it to death like this blog, so it's still pretty plain. It'll get the job done though for if you want to watch my videos again.
Also, I'll see if I can set up a download page for all my MP3's and VSQ's. I'll put those up by demand though so you'll have to ask for them.

That is what NyanNyanMelody and I have created.

Told you guys I was working on something awesome with another Vocaloider.
Took us a few weeks to get everything done, from writing completely original lyrics to tuning that stupid finale to just figuring out which song we wanted to do. xD
But I am very pleased with the final result. So much so that I'm bragging to all my friends.
Right after ranting about how YouTube screwed me over. Haaaaaaard.

Screw YouTube. Just, screw it. I'm not gonna play by their rules anymore.

So, if you guys were able to find my blog before YouTube shut me down, good for you.
Perhaps I should give a bit more information than I did earlier.

1) YouTube properly terminated my account. Sony got me with three strikes just because I used their instrumentals and they want me to pay them for using it. Screw that. I can't believe Sony actually hires people to go onto YouTube and pick on users like me. >:C

2) So, because of the termination, most of my videos have become unavailable to the public now. Thankfully, I had already managed to have a good fraction of them saved to my computer, and what wasn't saved either was old and not important to me anymore, or I was able to recover in Vegas.
When I get myself in order, and you guys don't see an older video that you liked, I'll try to recover it if I haven't already done so.

3) This is leading up to my conclusion to this problem; NO MORE YOUTUBE.
Yeah, I know it's a bit inconvenient, but then again, so is having your account being TERMINATED.
As you can tell, I'm still bitter about it.
So, instead of dealing with YouTube and their crap, I'm refocusing my work onto my own webspace!
Yeah, doesn't that kick butt. If only I could figure out how to get it to work. Dumb Shaw. :I
So, yeah, once I figure that out, I'll let you guys know and give out a link.
And in the meanwhile, with the large majority of my subscribers probably still in the dark about where I am, I'll be staying in contact with YouTube via Kayla, AKA NyanNyanMelody. We've been talking on e-mail for awhile, and she's told me she'll be more than happy to get my old subscribers (Which I think we both share, what with working in such a similar vein,) relocated to my site when I get it to work. Right now, it's only a webspace under my old YouTube name, xXPrincessxPeyaXx, and if you know how to get to a Shaw webspace with the info I gave you, you can go ahead and try it. It's not like anything will be working though. :C

Also, with this new webspace also comes a new e-mail JUST for my YouTube business. Yeah, this will take the place of PM, since some of you people would use that once and awhile.

I swear I'm not dead. I've been working hard at my new high school. (I'm technically a sophomore but this is my first year of high school in reality.) I'm doing really well too, if I keep this pace, I might even get on the Honour Roll. :D

But yeah, I DO plan on posting things on YouTube at some point.

I can't believe I'm almost at 1k. I really am overjoyed, and I wanna thank each and every one of you. I've got something a bit special... I won't tell you too much, but it'll once again feature all of the Vocaloids I own right now. (Japanese Vocaloids Meiko-Gumi.)

Vocaloid Duet:
Again, I won't say very much, I want to keep you interested, but I'm currently in the workings of making a Vocaloid duet with another Vocaloider who runs in the same vein as me... They own a lot of Vocaloids I don't have too, so I can't wait to work with them and get this thing made. We're working out specs and stuff right now, but we'll try to make this awesome.

And of course, if I come up with anything else to fill the time, I'll get right up to it.

Possibly Video Relocation?

I really hate YouTube.

My Rin & Len cover of Again was taken down for copywrite.
A WHOLE 2 YEARS AFTER I POSTED IT.
Way to be on top of your "copy write infringement", Sony.

So now that's two strikes against my account.
With the nature of my videos, I'm bound to have something else taken down eventually, so I'm starting to worry.

I'm thinking of recovering all of my videos from YouTube, making a new account on another site, possibly Blip.tv, and relocating my stuff to there.
I would still go on my YouTube account, but I wouldn't actively upload videos onto the YouTube.

Does anybody really know how Blip,tv works? Would my material be valid for making an account with? YouTube is just going to continue to give me problems, so a relocation might be a serious possibility right now. I would probably post an embedded player onto this blog so if you are following me, you can get the videos first.

School is troublesome this year like you wouldn't believe.

For one, gotta take public transit this year downtown where last year I had the convenience of being able to walk.
Second, my new school is a friggin' giant compared to my old one. My middle school only had two floors, but my new high school has 4 floors, including the basement.
And considering how just about all of my classes result in having to go up or down at least one flight of stairs, you have no idea how tired and sore my legs are. ;_;
Third, my classes are progressing a lot more quickly than last year at my old school, which means more frequent homework and studying for tests.
And because of said transit problems, on Wednesdays, I go to Youth pretty much as soon as I get home and barely get time to gobble a bite of supper down. So definitely I can't do anything on Wednesdays unless I wake up really early and do it in the wee hours of the morning.
So...yeah, videos will be coming out a bit less frequently than in the past. Sorry. TAT

I have some free time this weekend, but I have little to no inspiration...anybody have any suggestions? (Except nothing from Twilight Princess so far. ZREO is going through this phase of working on Twilight Princess music so I'm waiting for that.)

We're having some personal family issues that need to be addressed.

And school for me starts on the first of September, and since I'm going to a new school, I'm not sure how much free time I'll have to work on Vocaloid stuff.

So, Zelda.

If you follow my channel, it appears the main motivation for that is to listen to what has become known as my "Zeldaloid" stuff. It constantly gets more views than my normal work (To my dismay because it's not like I like my other work any less than my Zelda stuff. T_T)

Since that's the case, you guys must be as big of fans of Zelda as I am.
If you feel like sharing, how did you come to know the Zelda franchise?

Me personally, I got Ocarina of Time along with a N64 back in the early 2000s and played it non-stop.
Of course I was still fairly young, so I never really made it that far into the game until I got older.
Being inside the Great Deku Tree scared me, and it'd take me awhile before I could beat Gohma.
Which is totally opposite of today. I can breeze through the Great Deku Tree in less than a half hour and Gohma only takes about 5 minutes. >w>''
And then I spent YEARS and YEARS trying to figure out how to get into Dodongo's cavern. I never realized that when you're climbing up to Goron Village, you can turn left and there's a Goron with a bomb flower. I always thought that was just wall until later years. =w=''
Oh, and also, I tend to call my file "Fagballs" just because I can if I'm not naming him Link as I should be. >_<

Copywrite claims on YouTube

Ok, so, a few of my videos have been claimed with copy-write by a CRYPTON_FUTURE_MEDIA on YouTube.


tbh I'm not too familiar on how copywrite laws work, but if I'm using the Vocaloids for my own work, why is Crypton claiming copywrite? Just because I used a Crypton Vocaloid? Isn't the whole idea of letting people buy your Vocaloids to let them use it in their own works? What's the point of making your own works if Crypton is just going to claim copywrite?


If somebody could explain this to my slow mind, please do.

I'm back.

My trip to British Columbia was lovely.

And now I'm right back to making you guys videos.
As we speak, I have a cover of WAVEFILE by Rin Kagamine being uploaded.
And no, I didn't use Lamaze-P's VSQ. I went through the effort of making my own. I am very pleased with the outcome.

And I actually am using my own art recently. I can't believe it. xD
Well, now that I have my Vocaloids again, do any of you have any suggestions on what to do next?
I've been thinking about doing something with Alice in Musicland, but no promises.

Going away for awhile

Yeah, going on an annual 2-week trip to BC tomorrow.
Unfortunately, I can't take my computer with me, so I can't do any Vocaloiding until I get back at the beginning of August.
All I'll have is my dinky little laptop which can barely run Microsoft Word without almost wanting to freeze. orz
Nonetheless, I'll try to keep in contact with you, at least, but most likely, I won't post any new videos until August comes.
And I swear if anybody on YouTube asks where I was after I've repeatedly posted a link to my blog on each video since I made it, I will rage.

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos.
Does anybody know when this movie will start streaming on the interwebs, preferably subbed?
I'm aware it's already started playing in Japan, and while I find it pretty unlikely that they'd start subbing it now, does anybody know when they will? Because I've been morbidly curious since I saw the ending of episode 64 of Brotherhood.
There's also that little FMA "Prototype" one-shot that Arakawa wrote. I'm aware raws and plot descriptions are available, but is there any translated scans yet? I wanna read it. Like, badly.

Originality?

Wow, for me to post a completely original song...that's rare.
If you haven't seen it on YT already, go check it out. It's on my channel.
Being made with FL Studio, I had to do most of it all by hand. (Minus some of the drum bits, which were pre-programmed loops because I fail with drums.)

So this song has no title, no lyrics, and no melody line. If you guys have any ideas, feel free to shout them out. I would very much like to have this as a completed song, sung by a Vocaloid and everything perhaps.

Anywho, just wondering.
Should I draw original art for my videos? Even if they are crap?
I mean, I've only drawn art for videos twice. One for the Dr. Wily Stage 1 by Miku and the other being The Cursed Glasses/ Stray Girl in her Lenses. Both times, the art was mocked for various reasons.

Should I just continue finding art online by artists who are undoubtedly better than me, or should I try and create my own art and make my videos more mine?

Cuz I am.
Sure, I'm literally doing NOTHING but playing Minecraft and surfing the web but I wouldn't have my summer any other way.

Two songs on the way

As I'm writing this, my GUMI cover of Kocchi Muite Baby is being uploaded. (Using the MMD PV makes it upload ridiculously slowly. I've already tried it twice but my computer keeps shutting down on me. One was for no apparent reason and happened out of the blue, and the other time my computer thought it was a good idea to restart for updates... >_>)

Right behind that, I have a cover of Unhappy Refrain by Rin and Len Kagamine on the way.

On the topic of the Kagamine's, what do people like to think of them as?
I know they were originally designed as mirror images of each other, but I like to think of them as siblings/twins. However, I'm aware that a lot of people like to pair them as a couple.

Personally, I find this obtusely gross, but what do you guys think?

First post actually related to my life.

So, yeah, my PAT's are coming up next week. So don't expect me to post anything until after the 28th. I pretty much got tests non-stop until then.

When I finish that up, I'm thinking of maybe covering Katayoku No Tori by Shikata Akiko. I heard somebody mention that they subscribed to be because of the Kagamine Twins singing together, so maybe I'll have them duet it. It's been awhile since they sang together.

Hello and Welcome, Everybody!

The fact that you actually managed to find this blog most likely means that you saw my announcement video on YouTube, or you just stumbled upon it. It doesn't matter the reason you're here, but I want to welcome you!

If you don't know who I am, my name is Samantha, but I'm more commonly known as xXPrincessxPeyaXx as on YouTube. I'm also TheUntoldLegend on dA, if you're interested. Trust me, xXPrincessxPeyaXx is a mouthful, so just call me Peya. I use my trusty Vocaloid buddies to try and make somebody else's day. 

This blog, if people actually show enough interest in my blog, will mostly be for updates that I don't feel worthy to make an entire video for. (For example, if I go on random hiatuses or something.) I could also use this blog to take requests suggestions for songs. Who knows? If this goes well, I might even put exclusive content on here or something if it goes well. :P
